Privacy Policy
Golden Bible is designed as an offline-first Bible reading, atlas, and study app. It does not require an account, does not include advertising, and does not operate a proprietary analytics or user-data backend.
Data collection by the developer
Golden Bible does not collect personal data for the developer and does not sell, rent, or share user data. The app does not include a Golden Bible account system, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or a proprietary analytics backend.
Data stored on your device
The app stores bundled Bible text, reading indexes, atlas data, story and study content, app settings, language preference, and navigation or reading state locally on your device.
Location
Golden Bible may request access to location for the contemplative compass feature. If permission is granted, location is used on the device to calculate approximate direction and distance to biblical places. Golden Bible does not send location to a Golden Bible server.
Maps
Golden Bible uses Apple MapKit for map display. Apple may process map-related requests according to Apple’s own privacy policies and system services. Golden Bible uses bundled place coordinates and routes; it does not operate a separate map server.
Scripture licenses and attribution
Golden Bible includes open/public-domain Scripture texts and displays attribution in the app:
- World English Bible Updated (WEBU), maintained by eBible.org, released into the public domain under CC0-1.0.
- Bíblia Livre (PorBLivre), source package scrollmapper/bible_databases, licensed as Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Brazil.
