Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 2026

Astrosee is a privacy-first astronomy weather planner with no account, no advertising, no analytics backend, and no cross-app tracking.

Data handled by the app

Astrosee may store your selected observing location, app settings, observation log entries, equipment preferences, dashboard card preferences, and cached weather/astronomy data locally on your device.

Location and weather requests

Astrosee uses your location, or a manually selected observing site, to calculate sky conditions and request weather forecasts. Coordinates may be sent to public weather/astronomy data providers such as Open-Meteo to return forecast data for that location. The developer does not receive your location and does not operate a server that stores it.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Astrosee can schedule local reminders for observing conditions, sunset/darkness windows, ISS passes, or other sky events. Notification settings and scheduled reminders remain on your device.

Data collection by the developer

The developer does not collect personal data from Astrosee. Astrosee has no developer-operated account system, analytics backend, advertising network, or user-tracking service.
